Impact Monadnock

Impact Monadnock is the signature impact initiative of the Monadnock United Way.

Impact Monadnock seeks to improve outcomes for all children in the Monadnock Region, from birth to age eight, and their families. It was created in response to research indicating that early childhood development is one of the most critical factors determining the future of all citizens of the Monadnock Region — because what happens to our youngest residents will have a powerful impact on our community’s future success and prosperity.

Focusing on the educational achievement and welfare of children from birth to age eight creates a strong foundation for their future health, happiness and economic opportunity. And this, in turn, leads to more stability and prosperity for the communities where they live.

The Vision

All children in the Monadnock Region and their families are healthy, learning, and thriving, now and in the future.

The Mission

To prepare children from birth to age eight in the Monadnock Region for future academic, career, and life success.

The Plan

Impact Monadnock's original strategic plan was created in 2016 after a thorough analysis of the challenges in our region. In 2020, the plan was revised to reflect the organization's progress and to expand on successful strategies and activities. The updated plan also demonstrates how Impact Monadnock aligns with MUW's Strategic Plan and focuses on areas for impact, as well as other statewide strategic plans and frameworks for early childhood systems-building.
