2021 Recipient: Ken Jue

In making the presentation of the 1st Annual Ken Jue Award, MUW President, Liz LaRose said, “Ken, in your role on the board, you have led MUW through one of the most significant changes in our history. You bring your whole self to your work. You are fearless, focused, and centered on what is just and fair. Your commitment to serving others compels us all to identify solutions that profoundly affect people’s lives. On behalf of the MUW Board and Staff, we are pleased to name this annual award in your honor so that others may follow in your footsteps. ”

Ken accepted his award with family, friends, and fellow board members in virtual attendance during the 2021 MUW Annual Meeting.  He said, “Many people have done what I have done for our communities, and many are doing incredible community volunteer service now.  So, it is a special honor for me to be recognized in this manner when so many others also deserve such recognition. I have completely enjoyed the people who have volunteered alongside me, and I have long believed that the Monadnock United Way is an excellent vehicle for doing this volunteer work.”
