Monadnock United Way Raises $41,650 on GivingTuesday

Keene, NH – You did it! Thanks to you, our generous community, Monadnock United Way (MUW) exceeded its $20,000 goal and raised $41,650 in donor contributions and matching funds on GivingTuesday. We are amazed and deeply thankful for the outpouring of support we received from all facets of our community.

Karen Peterson, General Campaign Co-Chair of the Stronger Together Campaign said, "We are so grateful for the amazing generosity of everyone on GivingTuesday. These donations will go right back into our community to help children, individuals and families most in need in the Monadnock Region."

We would like to thank all who contributed to our matching grant pool: Carlisle Wide Plank Flooring, Clark Mortenson, Prime Roast Coffee Company, Stebbins Spectacular Painting, MUW Board of Directors, and Ken and Carol Jue and the many generous individuals and businesses who contributed on GivingTuesday.

Your donations make an impact on the lives of individuals, children and families every day:

  • Your neighbors will receive emergency housing assistance through the Cheshire County Emergency Housing Collaborative. 377 residents will receive services this year because of your support.
  • Individuals and families will receive healthy fresh food at 7 collaborating pantries across the region. Together, those pantries serve 1,500 Monadnock Region residents per week!
  • Families can return to work, knowing that their children are getting quality care and education at local child care centers. 268 families will be served at affordable child care  centers across the region.
  • 1,038 families will be served with home visiting, parental education programs and engagement activities that bolster child development through the Monadnock Alliance for Families

All gifts made during GivingTuesday go toward the Stronger Together annual campaign. The goal this year is $1,462,000 and you have contributed $974,056 so far. With only a few weeks left in the campaign, the end date is December 31, gifts are more important than ever. Visit MUW.org for more information or to donate.
