Monadnock United Way Gets Boost from Community on GivingTuesday

Keene, NH – December 6, 2024 – Monadnock United Way is thrilled to announce an incredible achievement for this year's GivingTuesday campaign. Thanks to the generosity and dedication of our community, we raised a total of $51,046—the most we've ever raised in a single GivingTuesday campaign!

Through the support of donors like you, we raised $25,523, which was then matched dollar-for-dollar by two generous local partners: Guyer and Son Roofing and John and Jean Hoffman. Their commitment to strengthening our community made this unprecedented total possible.

This year, Monadnock United Way also had a special Peer-to-Peer Fundraising group made up of board members Michelle DellaVita, Kristen Noonan and Myra Rebillard and community leaders Chris Coates, Sarah Kossayda, Larry Monson, and Laura Tobin who went above and beyond to support the cause. Together, they raised $3,872 in individual contributions, further amplifying the impact. We are grateful for their dedication and leadership in making this GivingTuesday a record-breaking success.

“We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community,” said Monadnock United Way Director of Resource Development and Community Engagement, Katie Gardella. “This GivingTuesday was a true testament to the caring power of community and the spirit of collaboration. This record-breaking total will go a long way to helping us reach our campaign goal of $1,484,000, which in turn will help even more people in need throughout the Monadnock region.”

The funds raised will directly support Monadnock United Way’s programs and community initiatives that provide critical assistance to local families, individuals, and children in need. From supporting food programs and housing stability, to funding education initiatives for children and families, this campaign will help ensure that vital resources are available to those who need them most.

“We couldn’t have achieved this incredible success without the generosity of our matching donors, Guyer and Son Roofing and John and Jean Hoffman. Their belief in our mission and their community commitment have truly made a difference,” said President Liz LaRose.

As we move forward, Monadnock United Way remains committed to making a lasting impact in the Monadnock region. The Teaming Up For Tomorrow campaign ends on December 31.
