Amy Matthews is the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services at Cheshire Medical Center- Dartmouth Hitchcock in Keene. She has been a Registered Nurse for 35 years, and joined the Cheshire staff in the fall of 2000. Prior to settling in New Hampshire, she worked as a clinical nurse and nurse leader in several states.
Amy received a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Fairfield University, and Master of Science in Nursing Education from Excelsior College. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Amy also serves on the New Hampshire Nurses Association board as treasurer, and is active in the American Organization of Nurse Leaders.
Amy lives in Peterborough with her husband Keith. Natives of Maine, and following Keith’s active duty in the Army, they came back to New Hampshire where Amy had worked for the Appalachian Mountain Club. They are proud parents of three grown children. Amy enjoys hiking, running, quiet water kayaking, and cooking.
