Cheshire Housing Trust

Cheshire Housing Trust provides affordable housing opportunities for Cheshire County residents with modest incomes, including rentals, resident support programs, and first time homebuyer education and counseling. Funding provided for counseling and resident support on a wide range of housing issues to help lower-income individuals and families to obtain and maintain their housing.

Community Kitchen, Inc., The

Meals are provided free of charge from 5:00-6:30 pm Monday through Friday at the facility on Mechanic Street in Keene. Hot Meals include: choice of meat or vegetarian entrée, vegetables, soups, salads, breads, desserts, and beverages. Take-home meals are available after everyone has been served and if there is enough food leftover. Take-Home Food Boxes are available Wednesdays from 12:30-5:30 pm or Thursdays from 11:30 am-4:00 pm. These supplemental food boxes contain staples such as bread, cereal, pasta, cheese and juice. Verification of name, address, date of birth and income for all household members is required.Participants are asked to bring a box or laundry basket to transport their food.

Provides rides to medical appointments and other needed destinations to people in the eastern Monadnock Region who don't drive or don't have a vehicle, with an emphasis on people with disabilities.

Castle Center for Adult Day Health Program addresses the growing need for elders or persons with disabilities to be in a safe and stimulating environment while their family members are at work or otherwise occupied in the community. Provides a caring, supervised environment to promote the independence and quality of life for adults with complex health conditions as well as those who just need a little support.
