Granite State Monarchs Peer Support Center serves individuals with long term and/or severe mental illness. The Monarch's mission is to promote peer support as an effective means of learning alternative strategies to manage aspects of their individual circumstances. Peer Support encourages individuals to become more proactive in their recovery and thus more empowered. This is accomplished through educational, vocational, interpersonal, social and spiritual opportunities. Support is provided in an atmosphere free of judgment, stigma and medical model labeling, focusing instead on acceptance, validation, empowerment and personal growth.
