Danya Landis

Co-Founder, Partner, & Arts Director
Machina Arts / Machina Kitchen & ArtBar

Danya Landis believes the Monadnock United Way (MUW) lives up to its name because they work hard every day to unite our community. When she first learned about MUW, Danya realized that many people in our community have remarkable stories about how MUW helped to change their lives. In her opinion, MUW is an organization filled with people who are passionate about the well-being of others and spend every day inspiring others to do so as well.

In 2013 Danya co-founded Machina Arts because she saw a need in the Monadnock Region’s community for art-based cultural activities and building a home and opportunities for artists. She offered art-based event management, experiential interior design, a live music venue, and curated interactive galleries. In 2019, Danya co-founded Machina Kitchen & ArtBar merging art, food, and community.

Danya is an active voice for her community, speaking out about her passion to create the opportunity for artists to showcase their work, building culture and healthy, mission driven businesses. She serves on the Keene Young Professionals board and is a 2020 graduate of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Business Program. Previously she served on the Governor's Millennial Advisory Council, the Keene City Commission, and Arts Alive Monadnock board, and is a founding member of TEDxKeene.

Danya graduated from The Maine College of Art with a bachelor’s in fine arts in Sculpture. She specialized in metalworking, installation art, performance art, and jewelry. She has been an artist since childhood and a welder for over a decade; her work has been exhibited across the country. She has taught steel sculpture classes at The Carving Studio in Rutland, VT for the past five years. Additionally, she is passionate for craft, design, photography, and curation. Danya is enthusiastic, organized, possesses a deep understanding of the need for art in our community, and is extremely passionate on making our region an amazing place for all to thrive. She is honored to support the MUW because she believes they help to brighten our future by investing in the children of our community, which is pivotal to the growth and success of our region.
