Educational Programs
As a result of the significant relationships we have developed with local businesses, human service professionals and community members, the Monadnock United Way is uniquely positioned to provide training and management assistance programs.
Monadnock United Way provides fundraising trainings unique to our campaign, intensive leadership training for Loaned Employees and information to area non-profits that help provide them with additional skill building opportunities. Monadnock United Way is available to Partner Agencies as a resource for management issues, the primary queries regarding board development, collaboration, reorganization and fundraising. We also offer employers specialized training on Community Resources available to help their employees.
Perspectives, advice on Building Better Non-profit Boards
The Monadnock United Way offered a recurring feature in the Access newsletter which focused on nonprofit Board membership responsibilities. Perspectives was intended to serve several purposes: to act as a vehicle for on-going communication for agency boards and staff; providing “board tips” on how to be a good board member, and information on the life cycles of nonprofits, micromanaging and macro governing, technology, board selection, and organization. The series is archived here. Click here for further information.
