Crisis Preparedness, Response & Recovery

Each and every day the community depends on United Way to coordinate, network and marshal resources to improve lives. In times of disaster, these United Way skills become even more critical.

Disasters can happen anytime and anywhere, so it is important to be prepared before disaster strikes.  Natural disasters may come in the form of hurricanes, windstorms, snowstorms, earthquakes, tornadoes, floods or pandemic. Some of these occur at specific times of year, while others can strike at any time. Crises may result from unfortunate incidents including tragic accidents, workplace violence, or terrorism. During times of crisis, United Way provides experience, expertise, and resources to our community.
