Board of Directors

The Monadnock United Way is governed by a local volunteer board of directors.

Board members are selected from the membership and invited to join the board for up to two three year terms. Their general purpose is to serve together with other community members to provide sponsorship and prestige to the Monadnock United Way and inspire confidence in its services.

Their responsibilities are to oversee all legal, financial, and policy activities and decisions of the Monadnock United Way. Board members approve and monitor the Monadnock United Way budget, establish the campaign goal, approve distribution of funds to agencies and determine and evaluate organizational goals and policies.

Board members are required to attend all board meetings, participate on at least one standing committee, participate in the annual campaign and provide continued financial support.

Board members are ambassadors of the Monadnock United Way. They remain well informed about organizational issues and procedures and publicly represent the organization in the community.
